Applying to graduate school can be a huge decision. Choosing the right program that aligns with your short and long-term goals is important, but more critical is finding a welcoming environment that will support you and enable you to thrive in your graduate studies and beyond. Being a graduate student at Berkeley means being a part of a diverse, dynamic group of people who are passionate, curious and committed to their areas of study.

Getting into Grad School at UC Berkeley (GIGS@Berkeley) is an online professional development series offered by the Office for Graduate Diversity (OGD), whose ultimate goal is to inspire and provide guidance to individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to select, apply, and enroll in graduate school. GIGS@Berkeley mentors include Graduate Diversity & Community Fellows who can help prospective students understand the application process and provide insight into the culture, climate, and opportunities based on their own experience as current graduate students.
