January will bring unprecedented change to millions of Americans as formerly uninsured and under-insured citizens gain access to new health insurance options created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as “Obamacare.” You’ll be glad to know that SHIP provides all of the ACA-mandated “essential health benefits.”

UC Berkeley Group Wins United Nations Award

United Nations SEED grant for sustainable energy development grant will fund a pilot energy project of a solar-based microgrid in an island community in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.

IGCC 2014-15 Dissertation Fellowship Competition — 2/10/2014

The UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation is seeking applicants for the 2014-2015 Dissertation Fellowship Competition. The competition is open to Doctoral students enrolled in the University of California, including J.D./Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., and M.D. with thesis. The application tool will open the first week of January and the deadline for applying for these fellowships is February 10, 2014.
