The VSPA (Visiting Scholar and Postdoc Affairs Program) invite UC Berkeley Postdocs, Graduate Students and Visiting Student Researchers, to a special visa seminar by nationally renowned immigration attorney Adam Green on Thursday, November 14, 2013.

Work Visas and Permanent Resident Options:  Know Your Alternatives

The information provided in this workshop is very important for postdocs who are looking for a position in industry. We hope you will attend this free event.

Seminar topics will include:

  • How to Obtain an H1-B Visa, a TN Visa (for Canadian and Mexican Nationals), or an O Work Visa
  • How to Sponsor Yourself for a Permanent Resident Status (“Green Card”)
  • Understanding Employer Sponsorship in Connection with a Permanent Resident Application
  • How the J Visa Home Residency Requirement Works and Who Is Eligible to Waive It

Adam Green specializes in the representation of international scientists, students and faculty. He is an immigration legal adviser to the National Postdoctoral Association.

V. Sook Hollingshead, International Student and Scholar Advisor at the Berkeley International Office, will also be in attendance to answer your questions.
