Welcome (back) and here we go!

This summer certainly seemed to speed by. I kept busy helping with efforts to streamline our administration both in the Graduate Division and throughout campus. I enjoyed continuing to mentor the doctoral students in my lab group — and l even managed to hike in, through, and around the Alps!

Registrar has consolidated and streamlined nearly a dozen transaction fees

How does lifelong access to unlimited numbers of official transcripts sound? The Office of the Registrar has announced a new one-size-fits-most Document Management Fee that consolidates eleven different Registrar’s transactions that previously carried separate fees. Beginning this semester, fall 2011, all new students will be assessed a single, one-time fee.
