LEGO Campanile What if the Campanile could be an Official LEGO Set? Architecture alumnus, Michael Lin ’02 is hoping to find out… but he needs your vote!

LEGO Ideas is an official website run by the Danish toy maker that accepts submissions for potential new sets for which people can vote. If a project receives 10,000 votes, LEGO will formally review the design and potentially make it an official boxed set!

Past LEGO sets have been based on the film “Ghostbusters” and the television show “The Big Bang Theory”; other sets have featured female scientists and the Mars Curiosity Rover.

“I think there’s room for a set like the Campanile,” says Lin. “It may not appeal as broadly as a famous movie, but there are many people who love Berkeley and the Campanile. Actually, LEGO might benefit from having a series of beloved college buildings.”

The LEGO Campanile needs more votes. To register your support, visit: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/60414.
