Explore Your Career Passions and Access Professional Opportunities at the 3rd Annual PhD Career Colloquium

The Visiting Scholar and Postdoc Affairs (VSPA) Program, in collaboration with The Career Center, is sponsoring the third annual PhD Career Colloquium on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 12 to 5pm. The event will be held at the Chevron Auditorium, in the International House. Featuring keynote speaker Alaina Levine, the colloquium will present a panel of PhDs and former postdocs who will describe how networking facilitated their career shift. It will also feature activities designed to jump start participants’ own successful outreach efforts.

If you are a nonresident and believe you are eligible for resident status, you may submit an online Residence Classification Petition (RCP) on Bear Facts between May 1st 2013 and June 1st 2013 to ensure your petition is reviewed before the fall 2013 fee payment deadline.

Violence-Prevention Education Requirement Reminder

All incoming students - including graduate students and professional school students - are expected to attend one training session, in person, to fulfill a UC Systemwide requirement for violence-prevention education.

A springful of great lectures

The University of California, Berkeley, sponsors a variety of public lectures. The lectureships present eminent scholars, Nobel laureates, and prominent figures to the University and San Francisco Bay Area community. Graduate Council and Tanner Lectures are free and no tickets are required.
