Back-Up Child Care: Helping Student Parents to Thrive at Home and at School This fall, UC Berkeley became the first public university in the United States to offer both graduate and undergraduate parents access to emergency back-up child care. To date, nearly 300 students have enrolled in the program.
Great News for Student Parents (and Their Colleagues) Currently registered graduate and undergraduate student parents will have access to 60 hours of emergency back-up child care at highly subsidized rates, beginning mid-August, as long as funds permit.
