Interested in getting paid to help scholars from historically marginalized communities apply to a Ph.D. program at UC Berkeley?

The Office for Graduate Diversity is seeking the participation of doctoral students to share their experience as historically underrepresented scholars on Berkeley’s campus. With the support of staff, administrators, and faculty, you will engage 30 prospective scholars during the first Graduate Diversity Preview for California Hispanic-Serving Institutions. This event will take place October 10-12, 2019.

Responsibilities include:

  • Presence at key meals to speak with students about your experience as a graduate student at Cal and address questions or concerns
  • Committed attendance the morning of Saturday, October 12 (program ends around noon)
  • Enthusiastic willingness to review application statement drafts and provide feedback and advice to prospective students in your field of study

Interested in participating? Contact the Office for Graduate Diversity at grad.diversity@berkeley.edu with a brief interest statement, bio, and current department: art and humanities, biological sciences, engineering, math, physical sciences or social sciences.
