Graduate students in all departments are invited to apply for the UC Berkeley Restorative Justice (RJ) Center Graduate Student Inclusivity Certificate Program. Graduate students with successful applications will be invited to participate in a 20-hour training over the course of three Saturdays: February 22, February 29, and March 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The RJ training will be composed of a series of workshops on intentional community building and cultivating communities of care, promoting respect and celebration of differences, creating values-based relationships through powerful storytelling and deep listening, and restorative responses to harm, conflict, and microaggressions. Upon completion of the training, students will receive curricular materials, a RJ Training Certificate of Completion, and institutional support to have these conversations and respond to incidents within their own departments. Please complete this application by Friday, February 7, 2020 to be considered. Graduate students invited into the program will be notified by Monday, February 10. The application can be found here. Learn more about the Restorative Justice Center on their website at rjcenterberkeley.org. Please email Teresa Anderson if you have any questions regarding this training!
