The Collegiate Inventors Competition is designed to encourage college students to be active in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, and creative invention while stimulating their problem solving abilities. The competition recognizes the working relationship between a student and their advisor who is involved in projects leading to inventions that can be patented. One undergraduate winner or team will receive $15,000; their academic advisors will each receive $5,000. One Grand Prize student will receive $25,000; the advisor will receive $15,000. It is a unique competition that can take your invention to the next level through networking, marketing exposure, mentorship and more! Since 1990, with the help of our sponsors, we have awarded more than $1 million to students nationwide. Day 1 You’ll arrive at the competition and prepare for your judging session. Day 2 Our panel of experts will judge your invention. Then, you’ll present your innovation to the public during the Expo, followed by the Awards Dinner — where we will announce the 2019 Winners! Day 3 You’ll head home knowing that you’ve had the opportunity to network with the country’s most innovative students, received mentorship from our Inductees and gained national exposure for your invention. The 2019 Collegiate Inventors Competition is now accepting entries! Applications are due by June 7, 2019.
