Want to ace your interview and be prepared to field the toughest questions? The Career Center counselors are here for you, and are offering customized workshops to help prepare graduate students for future professional goals, mock interview practices, and information sessions throughout this month in the Gold Room.


Mock Interview Workshops

This workshop will cover the job interview process, discuss frameworks and structures, employer expectations, strategies for addressing behavioral and case questions, and include a brief practice session.


Looking Beyond Academia (3-week series)

May 19, 26 and June 2, 2015
3:30-5 pm

A three-part workshop series offering strategies and resources to help you make informed choices about careers outside of academia.

Session 1 • Identifying Options: Exploring the range of career paths and industry sectors available to advanced degree candidates.

Session 2 • Translating Your Credentials: Resumé writing and interview skills identify your transferable skills and accomplishments, how to transform the CV into a targeted resume.

Session 3 • Getting Inside: Networking and job search, how to leverage your network, research potential employers and conduct an effective job search.

Space is limited and pre-registration is suggested.

  • To reserve your slot, visit Career Center Events & Workshops
  • Click on the “Events/Workshops” tab in the top-left menu.
  • At the bottom, login to Callisto.
  • Click on “Programs & Workshops – RSVP here” in the bottom right-hand corner.
  • Select “Looking Beyond Academia” or “Interview Practice for Graduate Students.”
