If you are pursuing research/scientist jobs with biotech companies, get feedback to improve your application materials and your chances for success. If you are pursuing jobs that do not focus on bench research (such as science communication, consulting, education and outreach), you will need to convert your CV to a resume, and tailor your materials to show your qualifications and strengths. The panel will share insights into how to build a solid foundation for success, and what rewards and challenges you might encounter while in the first year(s) of a tenure-track job. You do not need to have an offer, or be on the job market, to benefit from this panel – all trainees interested in faculty careers are encouraged to hear speaker advice! Speakers are: Masha Elkin, PhD, Assistant Professor of Chemistry at MIT (former Berkeley postdoc) Abigail Knight, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (UCB PhD alum) To gain some more insight on landing on your feet at a new job register for this event!
