Using Polling Tools to Enhance Student Engagement

Join this live session as we review the fundamentals of  Berkeley-sponsored polling tools—iClicker Cloud and Poll Everywhere. You will learn the differences between the two platforms, as well as how to set up your account, create and run your first poll (or choose from a variety of activities such as multiple choice polls, Q&A, and open-ended responses), and syncing student points to the bCourses gradebook. This session will run for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions. Registration required.

Cultivating a Respectful Graduate Community: Sexual violence and harassment prevention education for graduate and professional students

The 60 min training on sexual violence and sexual harassment prevention is a required education opportunity that all new graduate students must complete. This training will cover topics such as: the definitions and impact of sexual violence, being an active bystander, how to challenge unhealthy social norms that normalize violence, how to support a friend or colleague impacted by violence or harm, as well as the resources, rights, and options for those impacted by SVSH.
