The Office for Graduate Diversity (OGD) invites you to Exchange by the Gate, a social mixer connecting graduate students across multiple disciplines with other students, alumni, and faculty, in a low-stakes and welcoming environment.
This event caters to those who are interested in learning about what other majors and disciplines are like across the Berkeley campus and community. Additionally, the event is a chance to meet new people and gain insight into how other disciplines can contribute to your own. Over free food and drinks at Alumni House, attendees can practice and improve their ability to communicate their work to diverse audiences while discovering overlapping interests and hobbies.
Attendees from different disciplines will be able to exchange their backgrounds and experiences in a social mixer. In this format, attendees will have time to rotate tables every 5 minutes to speak with a new person, taking 5-10 minute breaks every 3 rotations.
