Diversity Days Agenda

Welcome to Diversity Days! Diversity Days is the on-campus visit for diverse newly admitted graduate students to connect with each other outside of the departmental visit and gain exposure to the campus resources available to them. Invitations are sent to first-generation and low-income admits OR admits who’ve graduated from an HBCU, TCU, or HSI.

Diversity Days check-in begins on Saturday, March 16, 10:00 a.m., at the Residence Inn by Marriott, Berkeley and will continue through Sunday morning. Programming will take place Sunday, March 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Arrival and Registration – Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley, 2121 Center St., Berkeley, CA 94704

4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Family Housing Tour (optional, invite only) – University Village

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Social with Graduate Student Affinity Leaders – Jupiter, 2181 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley, CA 94704

9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Breakfast on your own & continued registration – Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley

10:00 a.m – 10:30 a.m.: Welcome and Keynote Speakers: Chancellor Carol Christ and Dean Lisa García Bedolla – Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley

10:30 a.m – 12:00 p.m.: Campus Tours hosted by Diversity and Community Fellows – UC Berkeley campus

12:00 p.m – 1:30 p.m.: Lunch with Affinity Groups + Resource Fair – Dwinelle Plaza

1:30 p.m – 4:30 p.m.: Rotating Group Activities – led by current Berkeley graduate students
