Functionality
The following chart shows different systems functions affecting graduate students, and tracks the release of functionality in the new system.

In the old system/process…Change of Major/Degree Goal (Paper form) | Will now be done using…Acad Plan eForm in Campus Solutions | NotesReleased 10/27/16 as “soft-launch” for advisors only. The Acad Plan form is (currently) initiated by GSAOs, then approved again by the relevant GSAOs (depending on the action), and if necessary reviewed by Grad Div Staff.
The form can be accessed by GSAOs in the GT eForms WorkCenter in Campus Solutions. This form should only be used for adding a degree goal within the student’s existing department, or to add a designated emphasis. |

Plan 1 and Doctoral students still need to submit applications as they have committees requiring explicit approval. |
In the old system/process…Application For Filing Fee (Paper form) | Will now be done using…Special Enrollment Petition (SEP) EForm in Campus Solutions/CalCentral | NotesReleased 1/9/16. The SEP form is initiated by students, approved by GSAOs, and (if necessary) reviewed by Grad Div Staff.

In the old system/process…Application for In Absentia Registration (Paper form) | Will now be done using…Special Enrollment Petition (SEP) EForm in Campus Solutions/Calcentral | NotesReleased 1/9/16. The SEP form is initiated by students, approved by GSAOs, and (if necessary) reviewed by Grad Div Staff.

In the old system/process…Report on Qualifying Examination, a.k.a. QE Results (Paper form) | Will now be done using…Qualifying Exam Report eForm in Campus Solutions. | Notes Staff submit the results of QE’s using the eForm. Link was enabled 7/10/19. |
In the old system/process…Masters Plan 2 degree lists (i.e. lists sent out by Grad Div at the end of the semester listing students advanced to candidacy. Departments send back with dates and “Passed” circled | Will now be done using…Student Milestone screen in Campus Solutions. Specifically, use of the Capstone milestone | NotesThe process is essentially the same, just simpler. GSAOs should still report on students who have completed their capstone requirements (e.g. comprehensive exam, project, paper, etc.), except this can be done directly in CS.

In the old system/process…Doctoral Candidacy Review (DCR) | Will now be done using…Doctoral Candidacy Review (DCR) eForm in Campus Solutions | NotesDoctoral students advanced to candidacy must complete the DCR each year. |
In the old system/process…Application for Readmission (Paper form) | Will now be done using…Grad Re-enrollment Request eForm in Campus Solutions. | Notes Process is now re-titled “re-enrollment” and is only used for students returning to the program from which they left. GSAOs will submit this form on behalf of students. Enabled 4/3/19. |

Hot Tips:
- When reviewing or reporting on graduate student milestones, do not use the effective date but rather the date attempted field for accurate information about the exact date that milestone was achieved.
- On the Committees eForm, students may need to switch the search box from “begins with” to “contains” in order to find faculty they’re looking for.

- Use the eForms Work Center (opens in a new tab). This can be found as a link in dashboard in CalCentral, or directly in Campus Solutions (CAL Components > Forms > GT eForms WorkCenter). Note: Do not use the “Action Center”
- …run reports to get lists or see information on students in my department?
