University of California Human Rights Fellowship — 2/21/2013

The Human Rights Center is holding its annual competition for student fellowships in partnership with organizations working on human rights issues. Registered students at UC Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union are eligible, with priority given to graduate and returning students.

This fellowship program is designed for doctoral students enrolled in an American university who wish to achieve part of their doctoral research in a French laboratory for a period of four to ten months.

MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program

Berkeley has its first crop of graduate and undergraduate students in the new the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program, which helps financially disadvantaged students from Sub-Saharan Africa. Meet the first three grad students, who hail from Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda.
