GiGIGS logoGS (Getting into Graduate School) is a free mentoring program sponsored by the Office for Graduate Diversity (OGD) and the Graduate Minority Outreach Recruitment & Retention Project (GMORR) of the Graduate Assembly, and the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). GiGS is designed to encourage undergraduate UC Berkeley students to prepare for, apply, and enroll in graduate school.

Program Highlights

  • Mentor two to three UC Berkeley undergraduates with applications to graduate school
  • Support first-generation and other historically underrepresented students with their unique personal and academic challenges that might occur when preparing for and attending graduate school
  • Receive professional development training on topics related to graduate diversity, mentorship, academic entitlement, and more
  • Receive a stipend of $500/semester
