With generous support from the Irving and Helen Betz Charitable Lead Annuity Trust, the Graduate Division is pleased to invite applications for a traveling fellowship that will enable doctoral students to pursue dissertation research in Israel during Summer 2015 and Spring 2016. The program is open to graduate students after advancement to candidacy in any field of study. Applicants must demonstrate that their research will be well-served by travel to and on-site collaboration with scholars in Israel. Finalists will be asked to submit a letter of invitation from an Israeli academic institution. The fellowship will provide funding for in absentia registration and health insurance fees, a $15,000 stipend for living expenses ($10,000 for the spring semester and $5,000 for the summer), and a $1,500 stipend for travel expenses. Applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis with a final deadline of September 11, 2015. Complete the fellowship application (PDF) and send to Graduate Services: Fellowships Office (318 Sproul Hall), and along with a statement of research interests and a letter of recommendation from the dissertation adviser.
