The U.S. Department of Education is now accepting applications for the FY2019 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad fellowship. The initial campus deadline will be March 13th at 12 pm.

DDRA fellowships provide students in modern foreign language and area studies programs with funding for overseas dissertation research; proposed projects must be 6-12 months, and will need to be completed within the October 1, 2019 – March 31, 2021 period. Note: international students and those conducting research on Western European topics are ineligible.

There will be a UC Berkeley workshop to cover campus-specific instructions, there is also a “pre-application webinar” for the DDRA program scheduled on February 7, 2019. A scheduled info session for UC Berkeley applicants will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 2:30 pm and 4 pm in 309 Sproul Hall.
