Overview
Step into one of the top-ranked graduate programs globally and accelerate your career in the data-driven world. The Master of Arts in Statistics & Data Science (MASDS) is a rigorous, professional program designed for full-time students to complete in just two semesters (fall and spring). Explicitly structured to tackle complex computational and statistical challenges encountered in industry rather than preparing students for a PhD, the curriculum features a robust foundation in probability, theoretical statistics, and statistical computing (using Python, R, and SQL). Students gain extensive hands-on experience through advanced electives like machine learning and AI, culminating in a team-based capstone project modeled after the real-world data science lifecycle. Supported by an intensive Summer Prep Program and dedicated career services, graduates transition seamlessly into high-demand roles as data scientists, quantitative analysts, and machine learning engineers.
Administrative Note: There is no internal transfer process from the MA into the PhD program. Students seeking a doctoral degree must apply and be evaluated alongside all other applicants during the standard competitive admissions cycle.
