DESCRIPTION:Research shows that students thrive when they actively engage with course content and collaborate with peers\, but it can be tricky to figure out the best Active Learning strategy for a given topic\, lesson\, or learning objective. This workshop will help you develop your personal criteria for choosing active learning strategies that align with your instructional goals. \nKey focus areas include: \n\n\nIdentifying the specific learning outcomes you aim to support through active learning. \n\n\nChoosing the most suitable method for the activity\, based on the type of thinking or action you wish to elicit from your students. \n\n\nTailoring activities to fit the unique needs and dynamics of your classroom. \n\n\nThis session will run for 30 minutes\, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions. \nRegistration required.
