Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual national campaign that happens the week before Thanksgiving (11/12-11/17 this year). This year, the Basic Needs Security Coalition’s main objectives for the week are: raising $2 million for basic needs security efforts, raising awareness about student basic needs insecurity, and signing up as many students as possible for CalFRESH (similar to EBT/food stamps).

Please help the Basic Needs Security Coalition reach their fundraising goal of $2 million dollars, which will serve hungry, malnourished, and homeless students for the years to come. In light of recent events and expenditures, the Basic Needs Security Coalition believes that student health and wellness is at least as important as campus safety. Please consider donating to this effort.

Basic Needs Security Coalition will be hosting mental health workshops, a CalFRESH MEGA clinic, a FAFSA/Dream Act Workshop, Experts’ Panel, Fundraising Dinner, a case competition, and more! Please check out the calendar of events and come out and join the campus movement! Learn more.
