The UC MEXUS small grant competition is offered twice a year and provides support to University of California graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in all disciplines for small, short-term, non-dissertation projects of one week to six months that will advance the applicants’ research training or academic understanding of their fields. Areas of interest include projects related to the Latino experience and Mexican-origin populations in the United States. The grants provide up to $1,500 for use within a six month project period.
