The Social Science Research Council offers Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowships (DPDF) to enable early-stage doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences to formulate effective doctoral dissertation proposals for their academic departments or funding agencies. Fellows participate in two proposal preparation workshops. The DPDF covers all travel, lodging, and meal expenses for both workshops. Applicants may request up to $5,000 to support eligible summer research. The fellowship competition is open to graduate students in any discipline of the social sciences and humanities who are currently enrolled full time in a Ph.D. program at an accredited university in the United States and whose research projects and dissertation proposals fit within one of the SSRC’s 2015 research fields. For more information, visit the SSRC website. The deadline to apply is October 15, 2015.
