The mission of Soroptimist is to improve the lives of women and girls throughout the world. This fellowship may be awarded to selected women who have advanced to candidacy and are entering the last year of their doctoral programs. Applicants must be women who are in their final stages of their degree — preferably in the last year of study — as well as be enrolled at a graduate school within the Founder Region: including the Northern California counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma; the State of Hawaii; and the U.S. territories of Guam and The Marianas. Applications must be postmarked no later than January 15, 2017.
