The David M. Howard Memorial Prize in American Politics recognizes an exceptionally deserving graduate student conducting research in the field of American political behavior or public policy. Recipients of the Howard Prize must demonstrate a passion for — and engagement in — politics. They must also have experience in research, or practical activity, on the role of public opinion and engagement in politics.
