During your years at Berkeley, your greatest investment is in your own academic progress. To better serve you, the Graduate Division invests in creating ever-better tools to help you track your progress toward your degree.
GLOW (short for GradLink-on-the-Web) is an online system that allows faculty advisers and student affairs officers to manage and review graduate student records. By signing in with your CalNet ID, you too can view your progress towards degree and check the status of various forms, petitions, and approvals, including qualifying exam results, dissertation/thesis committee constitution, advancement-to-candidacy, academic employment appointments, fellowships and awards, and more. Log in, bookmark, and start using GLOW.
For doctoral students who have advanced to candidacy, a new Academic Progress Report will soon be added to GLOW. This report, to be completed on an annual basis, is designed to assist you and your dissertation chair to stay on track with advising and other supportive activities so that you can complete your doctoral work in a timely manner. Your department’s student affairs officer will get you started at the appropriate time.
I hope your semester has gotten off to a good start! Remember: Graduate Division is here to help you be successful in your academic career. Please browse the Graduate Division website for information and resources.
