Dear Graduate Students,

Right now, you can make your voice heard in student government on our campus.  In case you didn’t know, graduate students are indeed members of the Associated Students of the University of California and can — and should! — vote in ASUC elections.

You may well be interested in several of the referenda, especially those concerning student fees. One referendum is about renewing the Class Pass program, which provides access to AC Transit buses and the campus shuttle program.

Another referendum seeks to build two new fitness and wellness facilities: one, to open in spring 2014 under the northwest bleachers of Memorial Stadium, would be a satellite of the current RSF. The second, to open in 2017, would be a comprehensive new facility between Bancroft and Durant at Fulton. This would include cardio and weight equipment, space for dance and group exercise classes, an instructional kitchen with cooking classes, and a rock climbing wall.

Voting will occur in four physical locations and also on the ASUC elections website, beginning Tuesday, April 9th at 9 a.m. and ending on Thursday, April 11th at 11:59 p.m.  Do exercise your right to make yourself heard!

Best,
