Knowing What to Want, Asking for What You Need Presented by Assistant Dean for Graduate Diversity, Carla Trujillo, Ph.D. Student participants will learn strategies, tools, and insights on successfully navigating the road to and through the academy. The workshop will enable graduate students to identify issues aligned with professional success in conjunction with exploring aspects of academic entitlement, including shifting “point of view,” and creating viable advising/mentoring relationships. This workshop addresses topics and insights often underdeveloped among first generation college students or students whose parents are unfamiliar with the academy. All students are welcome!
