Headshot of Abby RinconThe Office for Graduate Diversity congratulates longtime campus advocate for diversity, Abby Rincón, on her retirement.

Following a decade as Director of Diversity at the School of Public Health, Abby concluded her career with three impactful years as the Director of the Office for Graduate Diversity and Assistant Dean for Graduate Diversity. Most recently, she focused on developing student services and support for undocumented graduate students, strengthening the graduate students of color community through programs fostering collaboration amongst student affinity group leaders on campus, as well as working toward a more diverse graduate student population overall.

Though we are saddened by her departure, we are grateful for her dedication to supporting the access and success of a diverse graduate community and wish her the greatest fulfillment and joy in her next journey!

Looking forward, Interim Director Cynthia Ladd-Viti, and newly hired coordinator, Sarah Acosta, are excited to continue strengthening the Office for Graduate Diversity’s presence and support on campus.
