The University Library is quietly launching a pilot program to enable library users to return checked out materials from any campus library to any other campus library. They’re not quite ready to announce this to all library users but would like graduate students to help them beta-test the program. This will be easy for users, but a fairly major undertaking behind the scenes (remember, Berkeley’s is the fourth-largest academic library in the U.S., which almost by definition makes it the fourth most complicated academic library in the U.S.). If you have questions, please feel free to contact Corliss Lee, Library liaison to the Graduate Division, at [email protected] or (510) 768-7899.
