The Faculty Research Lectures are a campus tradition that celebrates research excellence at UC Berkeley. Every year since 1912, the Academic Senate has selected faculty members who are exceptionally distinguished for their scholarly research to serve as the Faculty Research Lecturers. These public events provide a unique opportunity for the campus community to hear from those who are transforming knowledge at Berkeley and in our world.

This year’s honorees are — speaking on Thursday, March 20 — Harvey W. Blanch, Merck Professor of Biochemical Engineering and — speaking on Tuesday, April 8 — Francine Masiello, professor of Spanish, Portuguese, and Comparative Literature. The events are free and open to the public, taking place 4:00-5:00 pm at the International House.
