Ensure a smooth start with these 5 tips.

  1. Review and complete all outstanding tasks in CalCentral.
  2. Get your financial aid on time (beginning August 19).
Resolve any holds and make sure you are enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
Estimate your balance due or expected refund and create a spending plan.
  3. Get your money faster.
Sign up for direct deposit and learn more about how it works.
Still need a paper check? Pick up on the 2nd floor of Sproul Hall Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. A Cal 1 Card or government-issued  ID (driver’s license, passport) is required. Only you can pick up your check (no friends, roommates, parents or partners).
  4. If you want, grant your parents/guardians or partner delegate access.
Make sure they have their code phrase so they can view your financial information in CalCentral, pay bills, or speak to Cal Student Central.
  5. Need to speak with someone?
