PhD Career Colloquium — Expanded Teaching Pathways
In California alone, there are 112 community colleges, 23 Cal State University (CSU) campuses (CSUs), and 21 liberal arts colleges compared to only 10 UC campuses and a handful of other research universities. These proportions are similar in states across the US.
Learn about what it’s like to serve as faculty at teaching focused institutions, and how their search committees assess candidates. Panelists from a range of disciplines will talk about their experiences.
Lunch will be served noon-1:00 pm, followed by a presentation by representatives from Cal State East Bay which expects to fill 25 tenure-track positions both this year and next.
