Overview
Gateway Fellowships are exclusively reserved for graduate students. To be considered, eligible candidates admitted to UC Berkeley are to be nominated by their academic departments. The Gateway Fellowship Program is a collaborative initiative involving three parties: International House, the Graduate Division, and the corresponding Academic Department at the University of California, Berkeley.
The Gateway Fellowship provides the following benefits to awardees with demonstrated financial need:
• Single-occupancy room and board at International House Berkeley for one academic year, including access to cross-cultural activities.
• Tuition and fees covered by the corresponding Academic Department.
• A $5,000 stipend provided by the Graduate Division.
