R Data Wrangling and Manipulation [D-Lab]

It is often said that 80% of data analysis is spent on the process of cleaning and preparing the data. This workshop will introduce tools (notably dplyr and tidyr) that makes data wrangling and manipulation much easier. Participants will learn how to use these packages to subset and reshape data sets, do calculations across groups of data, clean data, and other useful stuff. Coping & Bouncing Back From a Job Rejection [ASUC & Career Center]

presented by: the ASUC Mental Health Commission x Career Center) ----------- Rejections can weigh so heavily on us because our brains are hardwired to pay more attention to negative events than positive ones. This is called the “negativity bias” and it is exactly why we can feel so disheartened by "We regret to inform you that we've decided to go with another candidate (but you were highly qualified!)". Whether you've experienced (or haven't yet) a rejection from a club on campus, graduate program, or job/internship, this workshop is designed to help you develop tools to cope and bounce back from a rejection such as how to ask for feedback on your interview and make adjustments for future opportunities.
