Breaking Barriers, Building Community, 2025

What is the relevance of the academy to achieving social justice? What does it mean to be a social change scholar? How can the academy be (re-)made to reflect the diversity and complexity of society, where students and communities have active voices and roles in shaping the pedagogy, research approaches, and policy production of the research university? For more than four decades, ISSI's Graduate Fellows Program has provided mentorship, training and support to doctoral students engaged in social change scholarship. This one-day symposium features the current first-year Graduate Fellows sharing their work in progress. Each panel includes one respondent.

CDSS Data Discovery Symposium

The CDSS Data Discovery Symposium is an opportunity for undergraduate students and faculty to showcase innovative projects, discuss emerging data science research, and connect with the broader academic community. The event will feature presentations, networking opportunities, and a keynote speaker.

RTL & Faculty

Please RSVP for "RTL & Faculty: In Conversation", where we'll be having an informal conversation with instructors who have actively engaged with RTL’s services and resources. This panel-style event will feature instructors sharing their experiences, strategies, and reflections on how they’ve incorporated RTL-supported tools, spaces, and programs into their teaching. Whether you’re curious about what’s possible or looking for inspiration, this is a great chance to hear directly from your colleagues. This hybrid event will be held on May 7th, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in person in 117 Dwinelle Hall (Academic Innovation Studio) and also on Zoom. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link and bCal invite as the session date draws near.
