To facilitate engagement, instructors can incorporate a variety of active learning strategies into their teaching, from minute papers to case studies. Yet, with the extensive list of strategies available, how do we choose activities to best support student learning in our particular courses? In this interactive workshop, participants will collaboratively explore considerations for selecting active learning strategies for different teaching and learning goals. Participants will also consider logistics of implementation and ways to informally gauge the effectiveness of the approach in their course contexts. This session is open to all academic disciplines. The PMF Class of 2022 Application is scheduled to open at Noon (Eastern Time), Tuesday, September 28, 2021, and close at Noon (Eastern Time), Tuesday, October 12, 2021. These dates, and any updates, can be found on our “2022 Application” webpage at https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/2022-application/. This fair is open only to currently-enrolled UC Berkeley students and eligible alumni (less than five years past graduation with an active Handshake account).
