Urmila Venkatesh brings 20+ years of higher education experience to her current role as a coach, facilitator, and Assistant Director of Alumni Career Education at Stanford University. Prior to this role, Venkatesh taught in Stanford’s Life Design Lab and was the Assistant Dean of Career Education for PhDs and Postdocs. Urmila is dedicated to helping students find meaningful careers in and beyond academia by identifying and showcasing the transferable lifelong skills and knowledge gained from their academic training, extracurricular pursuits, and life experiences of all kinds. Venkatesh holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of California Berkeley and a Master’s in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan.
