Continuing to support our community

Welcome to the start of a new academic year! To our continuing students, we can’t wait to see what inspires you this year. For our new graduate students, I want to extend a very warm welcome.

Greetings from the Office for Graduate Diversity

I hope you are having a fantastic start to the new academic year! I’d like to introduce myself as the Assistant Dean for Graduate Diversity in the Graduate Division. My team and I manage all of the initiatives within the Office for Graduate Diversity (OGD), including programs now in spaces like the Inclusive Excellence Hub. I’ve been at Berkeley for 16 years, but this is my first Fall semester with the OGD. I am thrilled to be working with an amazing team.

What a year it has been!
The end of the academic year is a time for celebration as well as reflection. As I write this, commencement ceremonies are happening all over campus; the excitement is palpable.

A new space for grad students: The Inclusive Excellence Hub

After tireless efforts we are excited to announce that we have officially signed an MOU with the Division of Equity & Inclusion to make this dream a reality! The Inclusive Excellence Hub will be located in a unique 2-story building at 2515 Channing Way. Built in 1920, the space will be re-envisioned as the first campus-wide community hub exclusively dedicated to increasing excellence through diversity and belonging among Berkeley’s graduate students.
