Alumnus and Silicon Valley entrepreneur Steve Wozniak was recently selected as the 2015 Alumnus of the Year by the Cal Alumni Association (CAA), UC Berkeley’s alumni association.

In addition to his many industry-changing contributions in the computing industry highlighted by his co-founding the Apple computer, Wozniak has also invested more than $1 million in UC Berkeley over the past 25 years. His support has significantly helped advance technology and innovation at the university and for future generations of Cal bears.

Recipients of the Cal Alumni Association’s Alumnus of the Year Award include decorated military officers, Supreme Court justices, Nobel laureates, leading industrialists, and renowned authors. Wozniak famously left Cal in 1972 to create the first personal computer, only to return a decade later to finish his degree.
