Rep. Mike Synar, 1950-1996 Through the Center for the Study of Representation, the Institute of Governmental Studies will award five Mike Synar Graduate Research Fellowships of $3,000 each to UC Berkeley graduate students who are researching an aspect of American politics, including public opinion, electoral behavior, civic participation, government institutions, social movements, and public policy. Students from a broad range of disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applications are available on the IGS website and are due December 6, 2012.
