The Albert Newman Fellowship for Visually-Impaired Students is awarded to graduate students with substantial visual impairments.
The requirements for this fellowship are the following:
- Applicants must be substantially visually impaired as documented by the Disabled Students Program (located at 260 Cesar Chavez Student Center, Voice  642-0518, TTY  642-6376).
- Award will be based on scholastic achievement.
- Students must be registered in the term in which they receive the award.
- U.S. Citizens and permanent residents must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
This award is for the 2017-18 academic year and will be approximately $4,000.
The deadline to submit applications is April 10, 2017. Notification of decisions will be made via email in late May or June.
