As part of UC Berkeley’s commitment to thriving Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities on campus, the Asian American and Pacific Islander Standing Committee (AAPISC) was formed in 2019 under the executive sponsorship of the Vice Chancellor for Equity and Inclusion, Oscar Dubón, to identify recommendations and strategies to the Chancellor and her cabinet about how to improve campus climate for AAPI undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty.

We are writing to invite UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate students to serve as members of AAPISC for the 2020-2021 academic year.  You may apply to be on the committee (no nomination required), or you may nominate someone.  Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 16, and completed applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 30.

For additional information about the nomination and/or application processes, or the work of AAPISC, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

With best regards,
