Berkeley’s Cleantech University Prize (#CleantechUP17) is now accepting applications. is a clean energy startup competition sponsored by the Department of Energy and hosted by the (BECI) and the (BERC).
Students at universities across the U.S. are invited to submit their innovative clean-tech ideas for a chance to partake in a 15-week mentorship and training program (teams must be at least 50% students). Selected student teams will compete for a $50,000 grand prize, and winning teams will advance to the DOE’s Cleantech University Prize National Conference where they will compete for an additional $100,000.
Applications are now available until October 31, 2016. Teams will be selected by November 9, 2016. Teams will present their ideas at the in February 2017 at UC Berkeley, where the winning team will be selected.
