Understanding the Process & Finding Job Announcements (Academic Job Search Series – Social Sciences & Humanities)

August 17 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Whether you plan on wading or plunging into the market, here’s a chance to learn a little more about what you’re getting into.

This three-part workshop is designed to provide an overview of the Academic Job Search process from the perspective of the search committee and help you figure out how to present your credentials, on paper and in person, in the strongest possible manner.

It is presented by Andrew Green, Ph.D. counselor. Before returning to Berkeley, Dr. Green survived the academic job search and spent six years at Connecticut College – serving on numerous search committees.

These workshops are free, but space is limited and pre-registration is suggested. To reserve your slot, Login to Handshake(https://career.berkeley.edu/handshake-login) and click on the “Events” link under the “Attend” menu on the left. You can search for this presentation (as well as others), click on it and reserve your space by clicking on the “Join Event” button (you may need to scroll down on a small screen).
