Some career fields of the U.S. job market are more challenging for international students to get into, based on the recruiting and visa landscape. Besides the regular career workshops and networking events, the Career Center is providing this international alumni panel series based on four selected career fields (a. Business Careers for Non-business Majors, b. Architecture, Planning & Environmental Design, c. Arts & Communication, and d. Public Policy and Nonprofit) for you to listen to alumni who were int’l student standing while seeking jobs and have been successfully working in your targeted areas, to share their experience and stories in job search, the career path and advancement they are having in the U.S., and the trends, recruiting needs, and search strategy/advice for their professions. Listen to the ones who “walk the walk” for applicable advice, learn from insiders about how to be more competitive for certain career field, ask your questions in a casual and safe environment, and build up meaningful career connections. This Tuesday, Feb 13 Alumni Career Chat Session is for international students who want to work in the business areas with a non-business major. \
